"A credit union is a type of financial cooperative that provides traditional banking services. Ranging in size from small, volunteer-only operations to large entities with thousands of participants spanning the country, credit unions can be formed by large corporations, organizations, and other entities for their employees and members.

Why form a vegan credit union?

Other reasons:
Other reasons:
- Having it as a co-op style allows everyone to participate in veganism in banking, as everyone should be able to go vegan to the fullest extent possible, especially with their finances.
- Decentralized, community-centric funding is the future, and a credit union was deemed the best way to go.

- Makes sure the money goes to the right place, not with entities that might not have veganism's best interest at-heart.
What is veganism?
"A philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals."
